This was my 2nd Fluff & Tuff Chipmunk (getting ready to order my 3rd). Just by acknowledging that I have gone through two of these, one would think it would get a rather dismal review. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have two dachshunds that have the teeth of a sharpened saw blade and have made it their goal to destroy anything that they play with in 30 seconds or less. And 98% of the time, they succeed. We went through literally dozens of toys from Petco and Pet Smart and even Amazon. Some even claimed to be nearly indestructible (they were not). We purchased our first Fluff & Tuff Chipmunk in Savannah, GA on vacation after hearing the shop owner rave about the brand. We took it home and gave it to the pups and they loved it. We played fetch with it for hours. They loved the squeaker in the middle and would sit and chew on it for what seemed like and eternity. It became matted with slobber and a little gross, but it made it through the day. We thought, even if it gets torn apart tomorrow, well done Fluff & Tuff. 2 months later it was still going strong. Sure, one ear was missing and the squeaker had thankfully been punctured, but the toy itself was mostly intact and able to still be played with. Then we made the mistake of leaving it on the deck with them for an entire day. Unsupervised and probably bored, they finally were able to get a leg off of it. We blame ourselves though. Given enough time, it was bound to happen. The second one we ordered lasted longer, we used it mostly for fetch or limited time periods of supervised play. It too lost a leg and both ears though after several months. Several months is forever when compared to the very short life span (<1 day) of all other toys, including rubber ones. For the price, we are happy to be purchasing our third one, and hope it will last as long as the others.

These Fluff ‘n Tuff toys are amazing. We have a fifty-pound mixed breed mutt who absolutely loves plush toys. His general goal is to shake the heck out of the thing and then proceed to eat out the squeaker. Once he’s completed that, the toy is “dead”. Problem is, he generally accomplishes this feat inside of an hour. We have gone through A LOT of plush toys over the years (he’s seven now), and at $5-$10 a pop, it’s a rather expensive habit for him.Not anymore! We have had a few of these Fluff ‘n Tuff toys now and the quality and durability are the best we’ve seen. The tiger has lasted over two months thus far and still going, including daily playing and multiple washes through the washing machine. It’s starting to show some signs of wear, but we couldn’t be happier. Yes, these toys are more expensive, but the math is easy to justify and the quality is fantastic. We picked up Peanut the Chipmunk and Edsel the Elephant for Christmas presents for him and I can’t wait to see how long those last.

This toy holds up pretty well to my little, tough chewer. Yeah, he destroys them on the regular but he is more than happy doing it! We have the lobster (which is his favorite) the squirrel and pheasant and he is the happiest tearing up all of them. I’ll pay for more to see his excitement any day.

My dogs love this plushie!I originally bought this at a pet store I used to work at. I had it for years and the most I ever had to do was see the seam tighter between the tail and body from my dogs playing tug with it.It only finally got destroyed when my friends retriever got a hold of it and chewed the face off.It was definitely worth it to get another one for my dogs. Just have to be more vigilant about keeping it away from my friends dog.
