My cat LOVES this thing. Mainly the wand and wire itself. As we did have to change out the toy at the end as he only chases after one specific toy (the grasshopper). The wand has a bit of give to it so if you cat does pull, it can bend a bit, but we do our best not to let our cat tug on it. The cable that is used to hold the toy is perfect, it has plenty of give and isn’t stiff so that the whole thing is difficult to use to play with the cat. I will be getting another of these, if and or when ours finally wears out, but so far this has lasted two times longer than a similar toy did. Now I just have to find the grasshopper!

My cat’s really love this thing and play with it more than any other string toy I’ve ever bought them. Most of the ones I typically buy at the store are very cheap plastic, with an incredibly short string, that, even via lengthening, they still don’t have much desire to play with. This one, even my crotchety old man loves to play with. I’m guessing that’s largely because of the sound it makes when you make it dance around. The wire cabling makes a “singing” noise, which seems to drive my cats crazy. The wire cable also allows the user to be as lazy as they want to be, since it responds very quickly and deftly to the flick of a wrist, so you can easily lay on the couch and drink a beer while you play with your cats. Normally my cats don’t go for this, but this thing really allows it.My only concern is the wire cable. My younger cat, really prefers to have the thing whip through the air, but I’m afraid that the cable with either slap her or cut her (though, it doesn’t seem sharp, so this may be unfounded) or given how well this thing responds to torque, will whip her in the face with the mouse-thing on the end.
