Rubit’s are my favorite! If you are like me, I like to change my dogs collars with the season or when we go on vacation. It is so easy and convenient. Oh my, I can’t tell you how much this product means to me. I can put my dogs license, insurance tag, and name tag all on one ring and when I want to change their collar…. Boom… that just happened. So easy even a toddler could do it. We take our dogs on vacation with us and we ALWAYS want to have ID on them. If they play on the beach or roll in something gross, we just switch out collars and switch the tags using the Rubit in one easy move. It’s amazing how simple and how perfect this product is. It comes in all sizes and colors but I traditionally get the black medium. I have bought the large before but felt it unnecessary to get that size anymore. I want to put a harness on them, ONE CLICK and it’s done. So awesome. Did you ever see a product and think, Why didn’t I think of that? Well, that was me with the Rubit. I am a buyer for life. They are durable and hold up to the most playful dogs, such as mine. I love, love, love this product. Every pet owner that has a tendency to switch collars and harnesses should buy this. Not to mention that it’s great to take off at night so you don’t hear them jingling down the hallways while sleeping.

I was leery about these but I needed something else. The s style clips with the locking tabs didn’t work for us. The lock always broke or the clip portion broke. Plus the s style clips and the tag clips from cabelas don’t fit the large d rings, I had to bend the tab to get them over the clip. But these, these are awesome. They fit over the d rings with no modification, they’re the right size, the tag doesn’t seem to hang too low. And with our 4 dogs they haven’t come off once. Our dogs do not play nicely, these clips have shown no sign of wear in the month we’ve had them. They’re very durable.

I’m way too paranoid to let my dog go even one minute without a collar and tags; I’ve just seen way too many “lost dog” posts that say the dog wasn’t wearing a collar because he was just bathed or whatever. So when it came time to wash my dog’s collar, and her old collar was outgrown, I ordered a new one. However, getting her tags on and off those thick rings is damned near impossible, so I figured I may as well get a tag clip as well.I picked this one solely based on the color. A purple collar needs a purple clip, and this was the only one with solid reviews, in the right size, and available in purple. And it’s exactly what I needed. The clip has strong tension and isn’t likely to open unexpectedly, so her tags are secure. They do hang a little lower now, and because of that, they seem to jingle more, but I don’t really mind that. I imagine it would be really annoying on a more active dog, but mine’s an old couch potato. This clip also made adding her new rabies tag a cinch — only took a second, instead of the usual prying and trying to get the thing on. If you need to change collars or just need an easier way to add tags, this clip is the way to go.

I’ve ordered 2 of these, they are so easy and convenient when changing your pet’s collar or harness. You will not have to neglect putting tags on your pet again due to the hassle of the key type rings. My only complaint that made me give 4 stars is shipping. I had ordered and received 1 clip, ordered another as a gift, after waiting over 1 1/2 weeks with my order saying it would be here, I had to cancel and reorder due to non shipment. It had been ordered as as gift and since I didn’t receive it on time I was extremely disappointed. Plus I was never notified it wasn’t being shipped. The second clip did get here.

If you change your dog’s collar often like I do (for the seasons, when it gets grungy, etc) and you absolutely hate taking the little ring that holds the tag off the collar (Pain in the hands at the very least though other body parts come to mind), you need a Rubit. The clip works like a carabiner. Tag stays secure and it’s super easy to detach and reattach tag to another collar. All three of my dogs have them and I wouldn’t do it any other way!
