Olaf Ward –
I got this for my cat who recently got neutered and I wanted an E collar that was comfortable and affordable because I noticed him licking and this was great!! It is really comfortable for cats to wear they can definitely lay their head and be comfortable you can also fold it back or down so they can eat and drink I folded it tho so he could have a broader view of his surroundings. Im also glad I bought it because it calms him down to not run around. After his appointment even tho he could barely walk he was still trying to run, jump, and play and this honestly got him to settle and lay down to heal. The hard ones at the vet were like $15 and I only ended up paying $8 for this one. I did do the over night shipping for thanksgiving day so I did end up paying a little more but that was fine w/ me still affordable. I didn’t know I ordered a medium thought I got a small but luckily it fit him very well. It’s looks really nice and isn’t ugly or hard like the ones at the vet he does hate it tho and tries to get it off but that’s normal but overall a great product and I do recommend!!

This cone looked great for what it is. Nice and soft. But it was a little large for my 9 lb cat and she did not like it at all. Had a hard time walking. 🙂 Sadly we needed to return it.

My little rescue dog scratched his eye. The plastic cone from the vet was not working for him. This worked great! The velcro on it was strong & he could not get it off! The material also worked better for him sleeping in it than the plastic one. I’m sure I’ll get more use out of it with this little daredevil. My vet saw it & wanted the link for it. So vet approved as well

When a cat has surgery, injury or skin condition that causes him/her to lick incessantly, chances are, the vet will send you home with a cone, also known as an Elizabethan or e-collar. The vet-issued collars are generally plastic and fairly rigid, and cats HATE them. They are effective, however, at letting the incision, injury or rash heal.In recent years there’s been a proliferation of softer, gentler e-collars that are often better accepted by their feline recipients. They’re generally made of fabric and have some give. Some can also be folded back so the cat has its peripheral vision and to accommodate eating and drinking. This e-collar does all that and like many modern e-collars, has two ways of adjusting it to fit–a Velcro strip to open and close it and a drawstring around the neck to fine-tune the fit. It is nicely designed, though this seems to be available only in size M, which pretty much limits its use to adult cats and very small dogs. And the drawstring, unlike those on other e-collars I’ve tried, ties closed rather than having a pushbutton adjuster, as many others do. The advantage of the pushbutton anchor is that you can adjust it quickly, and it stays put.Still, if your cat needs an e-collar and this will fit, it’s a good option and is apt to be far better accepted than the one the vet sends you home with.
